Our Mission

Our mission at the IACCTT is to provide a transparent, honest and free way of professional-grade certification for trainers, coaches and therapists world-wide. We have established a new kind of certification procedure based on our major tenets:

  • The first and foremost goal of a trainer or teacher in the coaching or psychotherapy business should be to help his students reach mastership.
  • All methodologies that are taught must be made absolutely transparent. All methodologies must be presented in an open and not esoterical (i.e., closed) way.
  • Skepticism is a prerequisite for constant improvement. Thus, critical inquiry should be welcomed rather than avoided.
  • The single dogmatic view that we hold is that we do not hold dogmatic views.

The IACCTT was founded in 2006 by Mathias Maul M.A. (Germany) to provide a free, honest and open counterbalance to the certification “business” that is all too often motivated by monetary goals. Thus, the IACCTT is a not-for-profit association and does not collect membership or certification fees. Membership is and will remain free. However, we have very high standards and do not accept everyone as a member. Only those who stand up for an open, honest code of conduct will have a chance of issuing IACCTT accredited certificates.
